Returns, Refunds and Exchange Policy

CONSUMER GUARANTEES

As a consumer, you are entitled to the benefit of statutory consumer guarantees in respect of items purchased from Skatetrader Pty Ltd.

In accordance with Australian Consumer Law, if the item has a major failure, you may reject the item and seek a refund or exchange, or you may keep the item and seek compensation for any drop in the value of the product.

Where a warranty claim is granted, any refund will include all delivery and related costs for the product.

Where a non-warranty claim is granted, any refund will be for the cost of the goods only and will exclude all related costs. No refund or replacement will be given until we have received the product from you. Please allow up to 7 days for a refund to be processed.

We do not accept change of mind returns for products purchased on this website.

All returns and exchange enquiries must be dealt with within 7 days of invoice date.

We will work with you on any reasonable claim, but you must read the following exclusions:

  • sharpened, oven moulded and/or mounted skates for any reason
  • special ordered products for any reason
  • jock or undergarments
  • on clearance or closeout stock

Skatetrader reserves the right to exchange or repair before a refund will be considered.

RETURNS POLICY:

1. REFUNDS FOR FAULTY OR INCORRECT ITEMS

1.1 If we send you the incorrect product:

If the product we have sent to you is completely incorrect and not a close substitute, we will either

  1. refund you for the value of the originally ordered item, or
  2. send you a replacement.

1.2 If we send you a faulty product:

If a product is shipped to you in faulty condition. We will either:

  1. refund you for the value of the good, or
  2. send you a replacement

2. DAMAGED DURING SHIPMENT

If your parcel is damaged during shipping, we ask that you don’t sign with the courier and contact our customer service team as soon as possible. The customer service team will either:

  1. refund you for the value of the good, or
  2. send you a replacement

2.1 Australia Post – return to sender policy

If your parcel is sent with Australia Post and you receive goods that are visibly damaged as a result of mishandling by the delivery driver/s, we ask that you do not sign for acceptance from the delivery and contact Australia Post direct.

2.2 Australia Post – Signature on Delivery

Signature on delivery is an optional extra cost when checking out in your shopping cart.

3. RETURN TIME FRAMES

  • Items can be exchanged within 7 days but must show proof of purchase
    • Sale or Special items cannot be returned or refunded unless faulty
    • Damaged products, or products not in saleable condition, cannot be returned.

4. RETURN PROCEDURE

To make a claim, the item(s) must be returned to Skatetrader Pty Ltd.

5. UNDELIVERED ORDERS – RETURNED TO SKATETRADER PTY LTD

Upon checking out, if you entered your shipping address incorrectly and your parcel has returned to us, we will contact you to arrange redelivery of your parcel, extra delivery fees will apply.

EXCAHNGE POLICY:

If a product is being exchanged for reasons of incorrect fit, freight both ways is the responsibility of the purchaser.
